6E Long Trade

This is a trade I grabbed after missing the day's opening move higher. Textbook example of 50% retracement for support front run by three pips which is pretty typical.

Short Trade on European Bank Holiday

This is one of my favorite setups. Rangy price action with lower highs being formed. I was actually getting pretty bored waiting for something to happen during the European session. I waited patiently for a good signal and got one with a shooting star inside of a bullish preceding candle.

What I want to see once the shooting star is formed is a pullback to test the high of the shooting star. I place my entry slightly less than half the length of the shooting star wick. I use a stop of 16 pips.

Fortunately, it fell like a rock. I closed it @ 1.2440 on the close of the next candle for +74 pips.

Welcome!

This blog is meant to be journal chronicling my trading of the 6E or euro futures contract.

Mainly I day trade with my hours being 6:45PM(HT) to 12/1:00 AM(HT), sleep, pick up the last two hours of the NY session and possibly look for an entry at the start of the Asian session.

I'll be posting trade examples, methodology, and links to interesting articles from around the web and blogosphere. This blog is for me, but I'm hoping others will get something out of it.
